Kenneth B. Reidbord, President
Ken Reidbord left the US diplomatic corps to found Exedra Partners. After 15 years as a US Foreign Service Officer, and having reached the senior rank of Commercial Counselor, Ken was a staunch advocate of US business overseas, negotiating with foreign governments on behalf of US commercial interests. In this capacity Ken was able to create hundreds of jobs for US business worth billions of dollars of trade in product and services.
A US Senate confirmed career diplomat, Ken served assignments in Moscow, Saudi Arabia, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila, Philippines, Helsinki, Finland & the Nordics, the US Consulate General in Osaka and at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo. While at the ADB, Ken was responsible for 38 Asian member countries from Central Asia to the Pacific islands.
Ken received the Department of Commerce's Silver Medal Award twice. Both awards were granted for Ken's commercial diplomacy efforts where he successfully advocated on behalf of American companies suffering from unfair trade practices.
Earlier in his career, Ken served as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Representative in Tokyo. Covering all of Asia, he supervised Pennsylvania's investment and export initiatives throughout the region. Prior to working for Pennsylvania Ken was an international marketing executive at Yokogawa Electric Corporation in Tokyo, a leading manufacturer of industrial electronic equipment.
Ken is a graduate of Tulane University and Columbia University's School of International Affairs, where he specialized in international business and economics. He has also completed post-graduate business studies at Sophia University in Tokyo. Ken speaks Japanese, Russian, and a modicum of other languages.
